* Since reading HBP I've had this nagging feeling Harry is a horcrux, but an accidental one, and that somehow Lily's sacrifice created a reverse horcrux - her sacrifice, with (IMHO) some sort of charm she performed, made Harry a horcrux. His scar is the marking of this.
There has to be some sort of connection there so they can see into each others thoughts so easily, and the pain Harry feels as if his head is being split in two when Voldemort is around him - the soul bit is torn. Also it would fit with the prophecy - they are both equal, each has 1/7th of Voldemort's soul, but Harry has the power the dark lord knows not.
* Harry and Ginny - I don't know what will happen there. I do see where they might get back together, but then again, I don't see it happening until mid-end of the book. Not too early, because Harry needs to feel all angsty and alone (even though I think Ginny will push getting back together), but I think something big will happen to make him realise life is too short - maybe a Weasley death.
* Dumbledore is dead, but we will find out he dated Amelia Bones. I'm joking!!!! I read something today and laughed at myself like imagine if Dumbledore was into Amelia Bones. But yeah, I think he is well and truly dead and that we will find out a lot more about him through Abeforth. We'll learn there was more to the connection between Dumbledore and Fawkes then owner and pet.
* Harry won't die. He will defeat Voldemort and live. That's not to say there won't be a moment where he "dies", he just won't remain dead.
* Snape will redeem himself by sticking up for Harry. Harry's eyes are important? Yes. As we have seen they remind people of Lily, Slughorn especially. If Snape was into Lily, well, I think that will become the reason why the eyes are so important. Do I think Snape is "good"? No, but I don't think he is on Voldemort's side either. I think he and Dumbledore did know what was coming, in many regards, because things just don't add up - Dumbledore knew the DADA position was cursed, he told Harry as much, yet he chose to put Snape in there knowing FULL well Snape wouldn't be there next year. Why not wait an extra year? Why this year, the year Dumbledore dies and Snape turns traitor? It just doesn't add up.
There's some more, but I've gone blank. I'll probably post some more tomorrow after I have a sleep. I've got this theory about Snape's Worst Memory which won't leave me alone haha.

Anyone who hasn't seen it, go see Dave Chappelle's Block Party. The music was mad, and Dave is funny, as always.
Wow, I ran out of things to say fast. Except that I just, at this very minute, spoilt Lost for myself :(

CLEAN | SPONTANEOUS | DARK Your humor's mostly innocent and off-the-cuff, but somehow there's something slightly menacing about you. Part of your humor is making people a little uncomfortable, even if the things you say aren't themselves confrontational. You probably have a very dry delivery, or are seriously over-the-top. Your type is the most likely to appreciate a good insult and/or broken bone and/or very very fat person dancing. In an attempt to procrastinate even more than I already have been, I've been rewatching Season 1 of Lost, and trawling the internet for spoilers haha. I also wrote out a guideline for my thoughts on Snape - I'm trying to write my thoughts on him post HBP and his worst memory from OotP. I'm almost there... but then again I know I'll write more than I am thought I would and it will be the longest thing I've ever written.
Kanye on Sunday (the first show at the Hordern). He has Common and De La Soul with him as well! I heard John Legend was supposed to be there, but I don't think he actually is. I think it was wishful thinking (like me trying to will Lupe Fiasco here as well) on behalf of my friend... I've seen him (John Legend) twice anyways, so it doesn't matter if he is there or not. There's also an afterparty which should be fun, but I've given up drinking (for this week) so I don't know if I will go.
Oh! 'The Parent Trap' is on (the good one with Hayley Mills, not Lindsey Lohan), so I'm off to waste more time. Then I might go find a Father Ted livejournal group. Hmmmm

So, 2005 was shit, it sucked and I hated it. My boss was a racist mole, too many deaths, my Godson got really sick, I got really sick... but 2006 is great already. Boys (haha), my Godson is getting treatment, and two weeks ago I saw Common, and in 2 weeks I'm seeing Talib (with Jean Grae as support). If that doesn't beat all (I live in Australia, we get jack all in tours out here), Kanye is doing a show with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Opera House *squeals* oh wowwwwww, just wow. Best news since I heard Tori was touring last year. Now, if Nas tours (oh, and Immortal Technique) Australia I can die a happy woman (seeing as I saw John Legend twice last year eeeeeeeeee).
In other thoughts, the chick who is playing Luna in 'Order of the Phoenix' is cute. I like her already... she's just quirky looking like I reckon Luna would be. Also, the chick playing Tonks is cool. I hope Bellatrix is done justice in this movie, because I really like her - I don't know why, I just do - and she has to be cool and evil and hot.

Ok, I'll admit, I am probably a "shipper", whatever that is. I do like the romance in the books, and I do chat to other people who thought the same romantic pairings would happen that I did, just because I didn't like the hostility of debating. Also I really couldn't be bothered arguing "OMG!one!!1 Harry/Myrtle is so going to happen because they both wear glasses". I basically went with what I thought would be canon, that is H/G and R/Hr, but I just went with whatever Jo was writing. If she did write Harry/Myrtle, I'd be fine with it. I didn't mind Harry/Cho (until it was clear that was a train wreck), because I was sure of what she was writing. But yeah, I am a writer myself, so I had faith in what she was writing. I always thought, and still do, that both H/G and R/Hr are storylines that need resolution... that is why I "shipped" them, not because I thought they would be cute together.
Actually, I just got into fandom in January or something, because I really love the Harry Potter series. Anyways, it seems some sections of fandom have gone into meltdown because of HBP. For fuck's sake it's book, you know pages in between two covers, its not the end of the world. JK Rowling did not write her characters OOC (as they are her characters) - Hermione was the Hermione I always saw, if anything she was sort of redeemed in this book, because in OotP she really got on my nerves. That isn't Hermione bashing, because seriously, I love that character, but she was like someone you know and love, but sometimes can't stand to be around them because her faults are just so glaring, pretty much that is thanks to Harry - who seems to hate nagging as much as I do.
Anywhos, the main jist of this blog is this... If you are giving up reading the books after HBP because your ship didn't sail, that's ridiculous. The story is still as strong as ever - if anything, it is even better, because we have horcruxes, we have traitor!Snape, we have hesitant Death Eater!Draco. There is even more to sink your teeth into, romance is nothing. Maybe that is why JK Rowling made such a big deal about it in this book, so that whole thing is out of the way, and people can be more interested in the actual Good Vs. Evil storyline. You know, Harry has more to worry about then who to play 'Hide the Sausage' with.
